Hello Friends,

Era of laptops is going away and now it is time for ultrabooks and tablets to takeover this space. Samsung has always been the biggest manufacturer of tablets with its Galaxy Tab and Note line-up. And finally, Samsung has debuted the Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0), which features an 8-inch, 1280 x 800 pixel screen. Key hardware specs include a 1.5 GHz Samsung Exynos dual-core processor, 1.5GB of RAM and up to 32GB of storage.

Additional specs? A 5MP rear camera, 1.3Mp front-facing camera, 16GB-32GB of storage, a 4450mAh battery, WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. As expected, both 3G and 4G models will also be available, with the tablet supporting A-GPS and GLONASS navigation.

The device is also equipped with a 4450mAh battery, measuring 8.3? x 4.9? x 0.29? and weighing 11 ounces.

The Galaxy Tab 3 (8.0) runs Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), with Samsung’s custom software riding on top, which includes Hub games, video apps, Samsung’s S Translator, S Travel Dual View apps, and ChatON chat app.

And last but certainly not least, it also features the Google Play Store and a number of other Google apps including Maps, YouTube, and Now.

While Samsung has yet to name an official price for the new table, it is expected to be fairly cheaper than the 8-inch Galaxy Note. I am hoping to be as successful as its precedor, the Galaxy Tab 2.

Tell us what do you think of think device and if you like this article please like our Facebook page. I'll surely bring the hands-on review once I get the device :)
