Sony officially unveils the previously
rumored Xperia P and Xperia U smartphones at Mobile World
Congress 2012. These models are the first to debut under the new Sony Mobile
Communications of Sony after the Ericsson buyout. The Xperia next generation
smartphones Xperia U and Xperia P looks similar to the recently launched Xperia
S and Xperia Ion at CES 2012. However, these are little slower in performance
and smaller in size when compared to precedents.
Sony Xperia P comes with 4-inch LCD Reality display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine and Sony's unique WhiteMagic technology. The WhiteMagic by adding fourth white sub-pixel to traditional LCD (Red, Green and Blue) results in outstanding combination of an ultra-bright screen and great power efficiency. Also, the WhiteMagic automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the surrounding lights. The device powered with 1Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB of user memory inside. This smartphone runs on Android OS v2.3 Gingerbread and the update to Android 4.0 is ear-marked later this year. Sony Xperia P will help you in capturing magical moments in your life through-out the day. The device comes packed with an 8.0 Megapixel Auto-focus camera with LED flash and Sony Exmor™ R for mobile CMOS sensor. Users are now allowed to record videos at 1080p HD quality and share it on big flat screens via DLNA. The device also packed with an VGA front-facing camera for video calling. Sony Xperia P supports connectivity options including Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi hotspot, HDMI, NFC, USB and Native USB tethering. This smartphone works with GSM and UMTS HSPA Quad-band network radios. Sony Xperia P comes in three colors Red, Silver and Black.
Sony Xperia U belongs
to the Xperia NXT Series, the next generation smartphones from Sony. The new
Sony Xperia U is an entry/mid level smartphone targeted on young consumers
who're looking an entertainment device. Sony Xperia U will have quite similar
looks and features with the above discussed Xperia P. However, is adopts a few
changes and therefore to get incorporated as mid-range device. Sony Xperia U
