Sony officially unveils the previously rumored Xperia P and Xperia U smartphones at Mobile World Congress 2012. These models are the first to debut under the new Sony Mobile Communications of Sony after the Ericsson buyout. The Xperia next generation smartphones Xperia U and Xperia P looks similar to the recently launched Xperia S and Xperia Ion at CES 2012. However, these are little slower in performance and smaller in size when compared to precedents.
Sony Xperia P comes with 4-inch LCD Reality display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine and Sony's unique WhiteMagic technology. The WhiteMagic by adding fourth white sub-pixel to traditional LCD (Red, Green and Blue) results in outstanding combination of an ultra-bright screen and great power efficiency. Also, the WhiteMagic automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen based on the surrounding lights. The device powered with 1Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and 16GB of user memory inside.
